Just bite the bullet and get a 3500 series dually...any brand will work fine. The 2500 diesel cannot handle the PW, and the single rear wheel (SRW) 3500 is marginal.

I agree with the 7.3 as being the best Ford diesel. The last two (6.0 and 6.4) have had problems. There will be a new 6.7 coming out soon, my bet is you can add it to the 'have problems' list.
