Just an update. I slit the tape, removed screws and countersunk each screw hole. I used a steel counter sink. Reinstalled the screws. Cleaned the old tape with lacquer thinner and installed a strip...

My rubber flaps that are on the outside never completely flap out when extending the slide. Part flips out and part stays flipped in. I always put a ladder up and flip it out when rain is expected....

I will order some tape and redo it. I did unscrew one and saw that it was tapered and it looked like the metal strip wasn't countersunk. Another maintenance item can't check these...

I didn't have any tape but I did have some dicor. So I cleaned and gave a dap of dicor and leveled it a little with my finger. We will see how it holds up if it doesn't I will have to get...
