If I were in that situation I'd be looking at installing a mini-split system. I've seen a few videos from some who have recently, and it seems to work pretty well.

I use and enjoy ours much more than I expected...

I use and enjoy ours much more than I expected to. Bluetooth from my phone a lot at our home base. I've not used them in the campground, and don't expect to due to the reasons already mentioned.
