Same here, we have that light but do not use it. Our does work though. I think water/moisture gets in the switch and causes havoc with it. Spray it with contact cleaner and give it a go.

The weep holes should drain to the outside. I suppose if inside condensation was to drip into the window channel, it would also drain to the outside.
