5th wheel question

Looking to purchase new DRW currently have a SRW Short bed with a pullrite slider hitch will that work with new vehicle with the 8ft bed

It will work but it's unnecessary. You might think about selling it and getting a simpler hitch since your turning radius won't be an issue.

Benefit of a long bed!

Your current hitch will work regardless of the truck being SRW, DRW, short bed or long bed, though it would be overkill for a long bed. The real question would be, does the new truck have the puck system and will your current hitch work with the puck system ? (may require an adapter plate)

I'm of the mindset..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and "don't spend money unless you have to".

Just my two cents. :)

you should think more in the line of.

is this hitch rated for the weight of the new rv?

how old is the old hitch?
how much use has it seen? (worn out?).

slider hitch mounts work great for any style of pu out there. but if you might be on roads or places of radical changes of road angles a slider might be worth having. other wise save the cash.
