Have a 2003 Montana 3295RK which just blew the end off the hydralic line to the bedroom with the slide out.

I tried to heat shrink tubing with duct tape on the tubing and fitting but immediately blew off. Any way to manually retract the slide and/or any pointers to replace the line.

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    Jacob

We have a 2003 3295RK which has been a great camper overall. 18 years and over 650 nights.

Things due break, this time it is the right tail light/break light/turn signals. tried new bulbs and tightened wire nuts connecting RV and light assembly. Getting ready for 1,250 mile trip and took unit to a Blue Compass RV service center. They dropped belly van and said they replaced wiring to the wire nuts. Now they are saying there is a short in the light assembly and the whole tail light assembly needs to replaced - the kicker is the assembly is no longer available!

I don't think the wiring and sockets in the assembly are that exotic. Wiring from the assembly to camper wiring is as follows:

    1) two yellow to light assembly black and white wires:

    2) two white to light assembly two black:

    3) one black to light assembly white wire.

I am going to pull the light assembly, label all wires, and take it to the local auto parts store.

Thanks a bunch for your help,

    Jacob

We have a broken end cap on the Sunchaser 8500/9000 patio awning. This is the metal cap on each end of the assembly the awning material rolls up on. Is the replacement of this cap another do-it-yourselfer or best left to a shop?

I really appreciate the support received from the other Montana owners.

    Great Traveling,

Recently installed a new Suburban 3290RK water heater in our 2003 3290RK. Installation went smoothly thanks to input from the group on what to watch for. Had RV out several weeks ago and heater worked great both on propane and primarily on shore power. I was checking out the unit several days ago and noticed what appear to be white crystals in the hot water tank when I pulled the anode rod. Never had this happen before and always drain tank when putting the unit away.

Would appreciate input if anyone has experienced this problem and what could be the cause.

Also, have a broken end cap on the Sunchaser 8500/9000 patio awning. This is the metal cap on each end of the of the assembly the awning material rolls up on. Is the replacement of this cap another do-it-yourselfer or best left to a shop? Again, any suggestions/thoughts are really appreciated.

    Thanks to everyone,

Have a 2003 Montana 3290RK which needs a new Suburban hot water heater, model #
SW10DE. Considering the sky-high labor costs at RV centers I am wondering if replacing the heater myself would be that big of a deal. The Suburban site warns against anyone other than a certified RV technician doing the job.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Have a 2003 Montana 3290RK which we have enjoyed for years. We keep unit in covered storage, was checking things recently and found the right side rear leaf spring broken in half with the spring-to-frame mount at a 45 degree or so angle. Also the rear spring mount on the rear left side is bent but nothing broken yet. I have no idea how this happened! Does anyone out there have suggestions for a replacement and/or upgrade spring setup? Thanks for all your input in the past on other issues.
