One reason a lot of us have went to the i.s. system is for the better suspension that uses no springs and is welded onto the frame. I do all my own work, with the exception of my i.s. and disc brake install by morryde at the end of may, 2018. I will be checking torque on the new suspension where appropriate and disc brakes part way through our 6 month summer/fall travels and again during the winter when we arrive back in florida. Just part of my maintenance habits and a normal part of owning a trailer.
